the evolved system looks like an upgrade all around to the combat system and fight design capabilities. timers for fights accounted for the 2-minute cooldown meta, as did all the other jobs. with that removed, the concept of party-wide burst phases opens raid flow to new directions.
bosses can be damage sponges and you'll enjoy pressing your buttons, as movement will be a larger part of mechanic design. what would previously be baited AOE puddles can be more PSO2-esque telegraphs and dynamic phases.
the game has the makings to be an action RPG if the devs gave a damn about more than maintaining the status quo set by an old rewrite of a shitty game.
